BLOG_Main_UC-speakers.jpgCHICAGO, ILLINOIS, April 28, 2016: BLUE Software, LLC, developers of BLUE™, the market leader in brand lifecycle management software-as-a-service held its third BLUE User Conference on April 26th, 2016 at the historic Chicago Athletic Association Hotel with its largest attendance ever. Representatives from many of the world’s leading packaged goods and pharma companies gathered under the theme of “Better Process, Better Decisions.” Featuring forward-thinking keynote speakers, product previews and case studies by leaders in packaging, conference attendees shared best practices across industries and gained insights they can immediately apply to bolster their core business processes of packaging execution and information distribution.

BLUE presented its first-ever Packaging Leadership Awards to Tara Baer of Navitas Life Sciences, Amy Languell of Plum Organics, Mark Joseph of United States Gypsum Corp. (USG), Lori Reynolds of Hormel Foods, and Lorena Segal of PepsiCo Central & South America, who were honored for their courageous leadership in championing artwork excellence.

BLUE User Conference participants also saw a sneak peek of what’s coming in live demonstrations highlighting an updated user interface, an efficient user experience requiring fewer clicks to start projects and complete tasks, and seamless integration with other widely-used software apps.

“Linking software systems to each other in an Information Supply Chain reduces costs, risk, and time to market by eliminating duplicate manual entry points and the recreation of assets to satisfy multiple needs for critical product information,” said BLUE’s Chief Product Officer, Stephen Kaufman, who shared a vision for Brand Lifecycle Management throughout the day and fielded product questions from attendees. “There is simply no reason to settle for a platform that fails to fully leverage your hard earned and fully qualified product data. That very data should smoothly flow across enterprise applications layers and confidently project value into your retail and consumer relationships.”

Attendees were shown how to share approved, early-stage product information from upstream software applications like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to ensure accurate metadata feeds into projects in BLUE by Kalypso’s Senior Manager, Stephen Birtsas in his presentation “Extending PLM for Brand Management.” Conference attendees were also encouraged to expose later-stage product and marketing information approved during the packaging workflow for E-Commerce and other consumer-facing applications in “Leveraging Product Information Distribution” from 1WorldSync’s VP of Product and Strategy, Ken Sickles and “How to Get More out of Your Product and Data” by Label Insight’s Chief Customer Officer, Ronak Sheth.

“This was our first User Conference since becoming an independent company, and it was packed. We shared so many advancements, partnerships, success stories and the attendees responded with a lot of enthusiasm. It’s a very exciting time at BLUE,” said Jyothi Gangadharan, Director of Product Integrations at BLUE Software.
